Fishing

For Anglers amongst you, Goose Nest House provides a great luxury base to stay and try out the different fishing available both on the Estate and in the Cotswold Water Park.

On the Estate are several good quality fishing lakes with carp, pike, tench and other fresh water fish for both the novice and experienced angler. The Estate has a dedicated Fisheries Manager who can give you advice on the best spots.

As a guest of Goose House, you are able to fish in the lakes on the Estate as long as you hold a rod license (available from the Post Office).

The wider Cotswold Water Park offers other opportunities for fishing. The Watermark Fisheries (tel 01285 862 680) has a number of different lakes including:

Bradley's Fishery (Lake 16, 130 acres) is for the more experienced angler with Carp, Pike, Tench, Roach and Rudd. Well-known for the large carp and aiming for 400lb mark!
